How bulk domain checking works
This tool queries the RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) servers operated by each registry to determine whether a domain is currently registered. RDAP is the modern, standardized replacement for traditional WHOIS, and it returns structured JSON we can parse instantly.
For each registered domain we extract the registrar, registration date, and expiry date. For every TLD in your list we also look up the cheapest registration price from our continuously updated price database, including renewal cost and a 5-year total of ownership.

Batch size and processing limits
The bulk domain checker accepts up to 100 domains per batch. This limit is set to balance thoroughness with response speed: verifying a large list of names against current registration records takes time and resources, and capping the batch size keeps each query reliable. If you have more than 100 domains to check, split them into multiple batches. The tool will return results for each batch independently, so you can run sequential checks without losing data. This limit also ensures that you can paste an entire list copied from a spreadsheet without needing to trim it manually—as long as it stays within the threshold. For larger portfolios, consider using an automated script that calls the checker repeatedly with different slices of your list.
What the status means
For each domain you submit, the tool reports whether it is currently registered or available. That status is a snapshot of the registrar's records at the moment of the check. It does not indicate whether a domain might become available in the future, nor does it provide any historical context. A domain that is taken today could be released tomorrow, and a domain that is available now could be registered within minutes. Treat the results as a current inventory, not a forecast. If you see that a name you want is taken, the tool gives you no further action—you will need to use another service if you want to pursue registration or monitor the name over time. Formatting your domain list
The checker accepts a plain list of domains, one per line, with or without the 'www' prefix. Include the extension, such as .com or .org, for each entry. The tool will parse your list and run the availability check on each unique domain. To avoid errors, make sure there are no extra spaces, commas, or other punctuation. If you are copying from a spreadsheet, use the 'text to columns' feature or a similar method to ensure each domain is on its own line. The tool does not perform any normalization, so 'Example.com' and 'example.com' are treated as different entries—though both will be checked separately. For best results, use lowercase and ensure the extension matches the domain you intend to evaluate.
Interpreting results for your next step
Once the checker returns its list, you can identify which domains are free for potential registration and which are already in use. The available domains are the ones you might want to pursue further. Is the data live?

Why are some domains marked as Error?
Some registries rate-limit or temporarily reject RDAP queries, and a few less-common TLDs do not yet expose RDAP endpoints. Re-running the batch usually resolves transient errors.
Are my pasted domains stored anywhere?
No. Domains are processed in your browser and sent to the lookup API request-by-request. Nothing is logged or persisted.
